Thought Diesels were a no no now thay have been proved to cause pollution and lung disease.
The government are quite likely to hammer diesel car owners in the future including banning them altogether in some areas.

Oil companies are now carrying out Filter Blocking Tendency testing on all their diesel so you should start to see less filter problems.

You need to get a modern diesel car fully warmed up before you turn the engine off ,ie minimum 10 mile journey.
It's when you do short shopping/school/picking kids up from mates houses is what blocks the filters.

Apparently unless you do around 17k a year it's cheaper to get petrol.
Saying that i paid a deposit on a diesel on Weds (Only do about 6/7k a year) but looks like I'll lose it as it's come up with a tiny discrepancy on the HPi check. Salescunt won't return my calls.
